Hello My name is Juan Ortega and i am 58 years old .I was raised a catholic and i
remember when i was a child every Sunday was the same argument with my mother because
i didn’t want to go to Sunday mass, but my mother always won. I remember looking
at the statues of the saints and the pictures in the walls and my young mind would
start to create adventures as i saw the paintings , i could almost see the characters
move,i imagined how they must of followed Jesus.As i grew older i tried to understand
what the priest was saying but couldn’t because it was in Latin ,i remember asking
my mother “What is he saying?” And my mother didn’t know either.
All my elementary school was in a catholic nun school where we were made to go to mass every Wednesday and we had to confess and receive communion, I never really confessed i always told the same sins , my real sins i never told.
When i was about 13 i finally won the battle of Sunday mass and for the first time didn’t go to mass. I was free of the torture.
From then on i decided to think for myself and not let anybody tell me what God or Jesus or anything about life and death was about i would find out for myself.
I do Believe in a God , a Creator of everything i am just not completely sure if i like the God from the old testament of the bible or the God of the new testament . Everybody i ask tell me they are the same but that is not what i see.
I believe in Jesus , and i believe he was a divine being , i believe what he says in the bible i am not to sure of the rest of the authors of the new testament.
So that’s a little about me , and the reason behind this website is that one day some time ago i realized that one of this days i am going to die,some of my friends have already died. I believe that every person when you pass trough this life you learn a lot about life and it’s a waste when somebody dies and takes all that he or she learned in life , all the wisdom all that experience when sometimes not even their children inherit that wealth of experience.So i decided to put as best as i can in this website my experience and what i learned even if it’s not much ,maybe my children or grandchildren will one day read this lines and benefit from what i learned or better put from what God thought me in the life he gave me.
